The Kitsch-enette
The Kitsch-enette, at 21 S. Beaver St. is a passion project for vegan vintage enthusiasts Kylie Whistler and Kayla Blair, who fell into the vintage world after running out of space to house their antique treasures.
Regular vendors of 717 Vintage Fest and booth holders at the State Theatre Vintage Emporium in Columbia. Kylie Whistle, originally from Mifflin County, and Kayla Blair, a York County native, set out to bring a completely new concept to downtown York: a vegan café and vintage shop.
Coffee, food and vintage, eclectic finds
At the Kitsch-enette you’ll find vegan candy bars, a line of grab-and-go meals made by This is a Farmhouse, a Glen Rock homestead chef who makes a rotating menu of vegan meals and treats – salads, wraps, cookies and more – using homegrown ingredients. The coffee menu features standard, traditional espresso-based drinks using Rich Coast Coffee, roasted in Lewsitown, Pa., and teas with non-dairy milk options: maple walnut, pistachio, oat and almond.
And if you’re in the market for fun, Kitschy’ vintage finds, you can browse through 1970s and '60s ashtrays, gloves, clothing for adults and children, mugs, miniature figurines, and even an 18+ section for a little risqué nostalgia.
