About this Event

Join us for an evening of community as we learn about Dr. Satsuki Ina.

Dr. Satuski Ina, a psychotherapist turned author and co-founder of Tsuru for Solidarity, a non-violent social justiceorganization led by survivors and descendants of the WWII roundup and imprisonment of Japanese immigrants and their American citizen children, will share the story of her mother's' torturous struggle to protect her children from harm driven by what scholars concluded was the result of, "war-time hysteria, racism, and the failure of political leadership."

Discussion will follow regarding the story's relevance for today's tyrannical repetition of history and what needs to happen now.
