Our speaker, Catriona McPherson, is the multi-award-winning and national best-selling author of the DANDY GILVER and the HELEN CROWTHER historical detective stories, the LAST DITCH mysteries, set in California, and a strand of contemporary standalone novels including Edgar-finalist THE DAY SHE DIED and Mary Higgins Clark finalist STRANGERS AT THE GATE. Her latest, Scot's Eggs is nominate for the Lefty Best Humorous Mystery Novel award.
Catriona says, "I'm a crime-fiction writer (and reader and super-fan). I write all over the genre: modern psychological thrillers - mostly set in Scotland, although I did go to Yorkshire one (AS SHE LEFT IT); preposterous 1930s detective stories with a gently-born lady sleuth (AFTER THE ARMISTICE BALL is the first); and comedies set in a barely-fictionalised version of my home-town in California, where the heroine says everything I've always thought and never mentioned . . .
Find her at www.catrionamcpherson.com. She's on Facebook most days too, talking about books she's writing, books she's reading, and meat pies She's eating. On X (Twitter) (more books and some pies), she's @CatrionaMcP.
