Bio

Yuki Momma, RDT, is an internationally recognised master dental technician, renowned for his expertise in advanced ceramic restorations and aesthetic dentistry. He graduated from Yukioka Dental Technician School in Japan before beginning his career in 2000 at Miyamoto Dental Clinic, where close collaboration within a clinical setting enabled direct feedback from clinical colleagues on every restoration and shaped his approach to functional, aesthetically driven outcomes.

During this time, he further developed his ceramic skills at the Osaka Ceramic Training Centre, building a strong technical foundation before relocating to Boston, USA. There, he spent seven years as a ceramist at Gnathos Dental Studio in Weston, Massachusetts, refining his expertise in high-end restorative cases and complex aesthetic work.

In 2017, Yuki founded Ceramic Artisan Dental Lab, where he continues to focus on providing highly aesthetic, functionally reliable restorations. Alongside his laboratory work, he has established an international reputation as a lecturer and educator, with an increasing focus on publication and advanced hands-on training programmes delivered globally. His work has been published in the 16th issue of DTG Magazine and in the Spring 2018 issue of Labline. He was a speaker at the DTG Symposium 2018 and delivered his first hands-on courses in Boston in September of the same year.

In 2019, Yuki presented at major international events, including Lab Day Chicago, and delivered hands-on courses across New York, Florida, Colorado, Canada, and Slovakia. He later taught in Vienna, Austria, as part of his ongoing collaboration with Ivoclar.

In 2022, he continued to expand his international teaching profile, delivering lectures in Utah and New York as part of a growing global programme of education. His continued collaboration with Ivoclar and expanding schedule of lectures and hands-on courses reflect both the demand for his expertise and his ongoing contribution to the advancement of ceramic artistry in dentistry.

From 2023 onwards, Yuki has continued to expand his international teaching and lecturing profile, with courses and lectures delivered across North America, Europe, and Asia, including LMT Lab Day Chicago and programmes in Canada, Japan, South Korea, Greece, and New York.

In 2024, this global activity continued with lectures and courses across Florida, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Germany, and Colombia, including a featured lecture at the Ivoclar Symposium in Italy.

In 2025, Yuki strengthened his international presence, delivering lectures at LMT Lab Day Chicago and courses across Turkey, Germany, France, Uzbekistan, Brazil, and England. In the same year, he contributed to Quintessence Publishing through publication in QDT Magazine, presenting his work on a single central zirconia crown, further reinforcing his position as a leading voice in contemporary ceramic dentistry.

Course description

Achieving the ideal balance between strength and aesthetics remains one of the greatest challenges in modern restorative dentistry. As patient expectations continue to rise, clinicians and technicians must deliver restorations that not only look natural but also perform reliably over time.

In this advanced 2-day course, Master Dental Technician, Yuki Momma shares his proven approach to creating restorations that integrate seamlessly within the oral environment while maintaining long-term functional stability. Drawing on his extensive international experience, Yuki will demonstrate how to combine precise framework design with refined ceramic techniques to achieve highly aesthetic, predictable results.

Using Zirconia as the structural foundation, participants will explore how ceramic artistry can be developed using IPS e.max Ceram, IPS e.max Ceram Art, and Ivocolor. The course will cover key stages of the restorative workflow, from shade analysis and colour foundation through to layering, internal characterisation, and final surface finishing. This will be demonstrated through the creation of three restorations using IPS e.max Ceram Art: a single central layered crown, a single central stained crown, and a single posterior stained crown, incorporating techniques such as Yuki’s 1-Shot technique.

Through a combination of demonstration and guided insight, delegates will gain practical techniques to improve accuracy in shade reproduction, enhance depth and vitality, and refine surface texture and morphology. Emphasis will be placed on achieving consistency, efficiency, and long-term clinical success.

This course is designed for clinicians and technicians seeking to elevate their aesthetic outcomes and develop a more predictable, structured approach to advanced ceramic restorations.

Aim: To develop an understanding of how to achieve predictable aesthetic and functional outcomes using Zirconia and the IPS e.max ceramic systems through contemporary advanced restorative techniques.
