Edison Format gets its name from the only Shonen Jump Championship (SJC) to take place during this time period, the 75th SJC in Edison, New Jersey which occurred April 24-25, 2010.
The top 16 decks from the event were extraordinarily diverse. This, coupled with how short the format was, no clear best deck emerged.
Edison is a great retro format because it has a high skill ceiling similar to Goat, but the format is open enough that it has something for everyone, brewers and non-meta players alike.
