About this Event
Youth Taking Flight provides engaging learning experiences for youth ages 12 - 24 in the fields of STEM, Aerospace, and Aviation.
Youth Taking Flight was created to encourage greater diversity and increased participation of youth, as well as young women, in the fields of Aviation/Aerospace. In response to the growing demand for grads in these fields, we strive to bridge the gap.
Objectives:
1. To equip young people to become lifelong learners and develop essential and transferable 21st-century skills to succeed in a rapidly changing, globalized economy.
2. To provide affordable/ subsidized programs that will encourage the participation of youth regardless of economic status.
21st-century
There are 2 sessions planned for this Year.
1. Session #1 (Ages 12-19 yrs) Sat Jan 31 - March 7, 2026
Weekly on Saturdays.
TIME: 10AM - 3PM
Sessions will include the following:
- Introduction to Aerospace & Aviation
- Drone Flight
- Special Guest STEM, Aerospace & Aviation
- Paper Airplane Challenge
- Group Wellness Sessions
- Field Trips
- Flight Simulator Instructional
- Computer Programming
- Job Readiness Training
- In-field Flight (FLY DAY) and More...
Daily refreshments provided. Field trip to Toronto Airport.
(Please Note: Participants selected are responsible for paying an administration fee of $125.00)
