Are you a young dog enthusiast looking to showcase your furry friend's skills? Whether your dog can perform cool tricks off-leash or simply listens and follows your every command, the 1st 4-H Dog Show is the perfect event for you! Hosted by the Wake County 4-H Teen Council, this beginner-friendly event is a great opportunity for youth ages 5-19 to join the fun and show off their dog's abilities.

Competitors:
Eligibility: All competitors must be between the ages of 5 and 19. Registration is required.
Categories:
- On-Leash: For dogs that need a leash for control. Compete only in On-Leash classes.
- Novice: For dogs that have never competed before, competing off-leash.
- Open: Open to all off-leash competitors, regardless of experience.
Classes: View the Rulebook for individual class rules and descriptions!
Choose from 17 different classes within the On-Leash, Novice, and Open categories. Each class is $5.00, and you can sign up for as many as you like in the same category.
- Entry Fee: $5.00 per class
- Awards: High Point Awards will be given to competitors with the highest scores in the On-Leash, Novice, and Open categories.
Show Rules:
- Dogs must be up-to-date on immunizations.
- Dogs must respond to sit, lay down, stay/wait commands.
- Dogs must be on leash or contained when not competing.
- Dogs in off-leash classes must be well-controlled.
- Only active competitors in the arena.
- Judgesβ decisions are final.
Additional Information:
- Proof of Immunization: Required at check-in.
- Dog Commands: All dogs must be easily controlled and able to perform sit, lay down, and stay/wait commands.
