About this Event
Our future is in the hands of those who will live in it. That’s why we’re giving youth the helm to show us their vision.
As part of our city-wide climate scavenger hunt focused on NYC water ways, we’re launching a sequence of missions and prompts designed for and by youth, aged 14-25, about their relationships to climate justice and our changing shorelines.
Anyone who completes the sequence will be eligible to win an almost new Mac Book from Back Market, champions of sustainable tech, in a remote controlled sailing Regatta at Sail Central Park with Rocking the Boat !
If you are in high school or college and want to get your hand in this scavenger hunt for a chance to win a device sailing in our mini Regatta, here's what to do:
- Register here. It's totally free.
- Show up at 4p and bring your phone (if you don't have a phone, you can still participate!)
- We'll be using an app called Goosechase. Download here to get ready.
On 9/24, we'll have a series of missions to complete right then and there. The first 50 people who complete the youth justice scavenger hunt are eligible to compete in the Regatta Throwdown in Central Park.
For everyone else, come cheer our future on as they sail very real little boats across the water and bring wind to the backs of climate work, and check out the mission sequence on our city-wide scavenger hunt to get a taste of what the youth have in store for us.
Brought to you by Rocking the Boat and Holes in the Wall Collective.
Date & Time: Wednesday 9/24 from 4p-6p
Location: Conservatory Water, Central Park
Cost: FREE!

This is part of Holes in the Wall Collective’s Imagined Futures// Water Ways Scavenger Hunt. A journey into the waterways of NYC for the month of September.
Connect with each other, reflect further and learn more by joining the whole experience. Through a scavenger hunt form, we’ll guide you to different missions. Sequences end with different chances for water-based prizes and a shared activity feed across participants all over the city. There’s a whole sequence for this event so be sure to tune in.
