Age Range: 7 - 15 years old
Description
This class will focus on creativity and self-expression while learning key ceramic techniques. Students will have the opportunity to create a small cupcake that opens for small storage!
Day One:
Guided by Amber, students will learn how to create a small pinch pot for the base of their cupcake, then they'll have fun adding cool textures on the outside of the pot. After their texture's done, students will create “icing” by creating a small coil and adding cute details like a cherry and/or sprinkles!
Day Two:
Students will use studio tools and glaze to add color and shine to their fired ceramic piece.
Please note that all pieces will be ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after the end of class. An email will be sent to students when their artwork is ready.
About the instructor:
Amber Flores is a former elementary school art teacher turned restaurant owner. She is passionate about all forms of art and expressions of creativity, and her classes are intended to be fun and informative, while giving students a safe and friendly place to explore their creative side!
