Ages 10-18Christmas Already? ..And in July! Do you have a student with creative ideas and a flare for the dramatic? Then we need them in this class! Students will help write an original script for a Christmas Themed mini-musical during this 6-week class. With guidance from our seasoned theater instructors, students will take a classic Christmas story and incorporate some fun twists and comedic elements into the scenes. This process includes acting out pieces that will be recorded in script form, hands on experience creating props for the performance and learning about technical elements by participating in sound and lighting demonstrations. At the end of our session, students will put on a Reader’s Theater style presentation for family and friends on Tuesday, May 26th, at 6:00 pm in our Pikes Peak room.
Look for a continuation of this class in our Summer SSA Brochure as we expand on the creative writing your student started and create a final production to perform in our Theater for all our fans!
