Voting is a fundamental part of citizenship. This FREE session explores voting rights through history, how laws impact individuals with disabilities, and includes an interactive portion so participants can test their knowledge using real-life scenarios.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn about the beginning of formal voting system in the United States
- Participants will learn about the federal laws that expanded accessibility of voters with disabilities.
- Participants will learn about how the changes in law impacted Kentuckians.
- Participants will utilize knowledge gained in answering questions about real-life scenarios.
