Yoga + Anatomy Workshop

Your sacrum is both an area of great stability and an area of the body that is highly vulnerable to injury, especially in yoga! Yet yoga also has the power to strengthen, stabilize, and heal this area when practiced through the door of Ahimsa — do no harm — and through understanding the way your unique body moves and learning to work with it not against it.
In this interactive workshop we will discuss the anatomy of the sacrum and pelvis and lumbar spine, move into myofascial exploration and release and then stabilize the area through a 90 minute "sacred sacrum" practice, where you will learn adjustments to the most common yoga poses so you may move with ease and support and heal this area. We will end with restorative poses to ground the scarum and the rest of your body.
