What happens in your body when you feel threatened, overwhelmed, or shut down?Most of us have been taught to manage from the neck up – think positive, push through, calm down. But your nervous system doesn't work that way.
In this free 1-hour intro, Anna Roters from The Embodied Practice introduces Polyvagal Theory – a framework that explains why your body responds the way it does under stress, and how to gently shift out of survival mode and back into connection.
What to expect:
* Accessible, grounded education
* Gentle somatic practices
* A felt sense of what regulation actually feels like
You'll leave with a new understanding of your nervous system – and a felt sense of what it means to be regulated, safe, and connected.

👤 About Anna
Anna Roters is a trauma-informed nervous system coach who specialises in coercive control, Polyvagal Theory, somatic practice, and ACT.
Her path into this work is deeply lived – after decades of emotional suppression and people-pleasing, a near-fatal family crisis in 2021 became a turning point. What followed was a profound reclamation of self.
Today she supports others to understand their nervous system, reclaim their voice, and rebuild trust with their body.
Science and spirituality – both/and.
Once you understand your nervous system – the next question is why you relate the way you do. Attachment and Your Nervous System Workshops are coming to Auckland.
