About this Event
During the workshop, we invite you to explore the built environment of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park through model-making.
You’ll be guided and encouraged to build an architectural intervention for the Olympic Park using a mixture of up-cycled, ‘junk’ and general model making materials.
Notes
The event is a hands-on family workshop suitable for children aged 5-11.
There are five sessions, with each running for 45 minutes. The timings are as follows: 10:00-10:45, 11:00-11:45, 12:00-12:45, 13:15-14:00 and14:15-15:00. Please only book one session per child.
We ask that all children are accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the whole of their booked session - adults do not need to book a ticket.
Please note there will be a photogrpaher present to document the activity for Newham Heritage Month. Please speak to the organisers on the day if you do not want to appear in any photographs
Your safety is important to us
We recommend that:
- All attendees take a negative lateral flow test before the event
- You not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms
- Attendees wear masks whilst moving around communal areas
Accessibility
With dedicated wheelchair access, Timber Lodge Café is completely accessible and has a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet.
Three dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces are available for visitors to the Timber Lodge and Tumbling Bay Playground located on Olympic Park Avenue, directly adjacent to the venue.
Please note, these are on-street parking spaces and we are currently in the process of increasing the number of permanent dropped kerbs along this street.
