Are you interested in starting a career in sport? Our Your Future – Sports Apprenticeship Recruitment Day is designed for young people who are considering a sports apprenticeship and want to experience what the role involves.
This interactive day will give you the opportunity to take part in a range of activities that reflect the skills needed to become a successful sports apprentice. You will work alongside other participants, meet our team, and learn more about the opportunities available.
Throughout the day you will:
- Take part in team-building challenges to develop communication and teamwork skills
- Plan and deliver a short sports activity to a class of pupils
- Gain experience in interview practice and receive feedback
- Learn more about sports apprenticeship opportunities and what the role involves
This event is designed to help you build confidence, develop key skills, and give you a real insight into working in sport.
If you are passionate about sport, enjoy working with young people, and are interested in developing your coaching and leadership skills, this is a great opportunity to take your first step towards a sports apprenticeship.
Who Should Attend
This event is open to young people who are interested in starting a sports apprenticeship and gaining experience in sports coaching and delivery.
We welcome:
- Year 11 students
- Sixth form / college students
- Anyone aged 18+ interested in beginning a career in sport
This event is ideal for those who enjoy sport, working with young people, and developing leadership and coaching skills.
What to Wear
Please wear comfortable sports clothing suitable for being active, such as:
- Sports trainers
- T-shirt or sports top
- Tracksuit bottoms or shorts
As part of the day involves delivering a sports activity, you will need to be ready to take part in practical activities.
