In this talk, author and nondual entheogenic educator, Martin W. Ball, Ph.D., will discuss the essential human right to explore one’s fundamental nature via entheogenic experience, primarily as it relates to the nondual/unitary experience of infinite being as it arises within the experience of 5-MeO-DMT, “The God Molecule.” As a leading and ground-breaking advocate of entheogenic nonduality, Martin has been at the vanguard of public education about 5-MeO-DMT, and his books and lectures on the topic are widely considered to be authoritative and deeply informed by grounded personal experience.About the speaker:
Martin W. Ball, earned his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from UCSB in 2000 and has gone on to become one of the world’s leading experts on nonduality and entheogenic experience. He is the author of numerous books on the topic, including his revolutionary Being Human (2009), Entheogenic Liberation (2017) - considered the most comprehensive book about 5-MeO-DMT and nonduality, and his more recent 5-MeO-DMT Integration (2024). As a provocative and assumption-challenging author, Martin takes a grounded, embodied, and ultimately, rational approach to nondual experience and seeks to help his readers and audience move beyond ego-infused narratives of spirituality and religiosity into direct experience of the divine nature of being and the unitary reality that is the true nature of God.
Martin first started sharing his radical nonduality on his podcast, “The Entheogenic Evolution,” in 2008. Now, 17 years in and counting, The Entheogenic Evolution Podcast is one of the longest-running and oldest podcasts in the world on the topic of psychedelics. It was there that he first gave 5-MeO-DMT the nickname of “The God Molecule,” which is now used around the world to refer to this profound and largely unique entheogenic molecule. Since having his sense of self and world profoundly transformed by 5-MeO-DMT in January of 2008, he has dedicated his work to educating the world about 5-MeO-DMT and is one of a handful of individuals who have been prominent in advocating public awareness about it, which was still mostly unknown when he started in 2008.
Since that time, Martin has not only written numerous books on the subject, both fiction and nonfiction, and hosted numerous guests on his podcast to share about 5-MeO-DMT, but he has also been featured in countless interviews on the topic, and is seen as a unique and inspiring voice in the modern psychedelic movement. He also works professionally as a nondual integration coach, working with clientele around the world, helping them integrate and work with their entheogenic experience from a nondual and embodied, energetic perspective.
In addition to being an integration coach, podcaster, author, musician, artist, photographer, and public speaker, Martin is also an instructor at Mindscape Psychedelic Institute where he teaches Trauma-Informed 5-MeO-DMT Facilitation and also 5-MeO-DMT Integration Specialist Training, providing comprehensive instruction for those who want to serve and assist in integration work with 5-MeO-DMT. He has also taught at UCSB, UC Berkeley, Rogue Community College, and was an instructor of Religion at Southern Oregon University until being laid off during the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic.
