Gather in a safe, judgement-free space with other local writers. We are an unorganized, no-itinerary group that likes to keep things extremely casual. Feel free to come for the full time or drop in for just a few minutes. Bring your favorite writing supplies or your favorite craft supplies...we're not picky about how you spend your time with us.
Bring a snack, bring a drink – feel free to share or hoard your treasures. We don’t judge.
We do have a critique hour from 12-1.
If you’d like feedback on a short work or excerpt from a longer piece, feel free to bring 1,000 words or less to read to the group. Our members provide gentle, constructive feedback to keep you exciting about writing.
All genres, experience levels, and ages are welcome, although children under the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
Can't make it to this month's meeting? No worries! We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month so just watch the schedule on our Facebook page or at https://www.lityoungstown.org/writers-guild.
