Fox book cafѐ is thrilled to present “Young Readers Book Club”, for children between the ages of 9 to 12 years, held weekly on Saturday at 12:00h.The club will be led by Sam Kolpy. Не’s a native English speaker and lifelong reader who discovered the power of books after overcoming dyslexia.
Through this English-language reading club, he helps children build a love of reading while naturally improving their English comprehension in a warm, supportive setting.
As a parent who reads daily with his four-year-old, he truly believes that “A reader lives a thousand lives. But a man who never reads lives only one.”
The benefits of the book club:
Encourages a lifelong love of reading through engaging, age-appropriate English stories;
Supports English language comprehension and vocabulary development in a natural, enjoyable way;
Led by a native English speaker with personal experience overcoming dyslexia and fostering confident readers;
Provides a welcoming space for children to meet other English speakers, make friends, and build community;
Nurtures imagination, curiosity, and confidence through shared stories and discussion.
Age range:
We'd suggest that young readers between the ages of 9 to 12 years old would be ready for the language complexity and themes of these books, although we think they can be enjoyed by older readers too! And possibly, even by advanced readers a little younger.
We can host up to 15 children per event.
We would encourage parents to examine the books and their themes in advance and make their own decision about whether they feel the material is appropriate for their child.
We start on 28 February with The Tiffany Aching series by Terry Pratchett. Book 1 "The wee free men" (And possibly the rest of the series if people are enjoying it).

The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien.
The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling.
The earthsea trilogy by Ursula Le Guin.

Entrance fee: 13€
Siblings discount: 10€ for each child. Payments are accepted exclusively in cash.
