Young Hearts Campout 2026
Everything you need to know ✨
Welcome to the woods! On the second weekend of June,we gather for the first edition of Young Hearts Campout—an intimate, open-air weekend rooted in connection, care, and collective imagination... a soul-strengthening trans-galactic discotheque weekend in the woods.
For four days and three nights, we’ll come together at Shelterwood Collective, a magic venue that transforms intoour shared home—a space to slow down, create, nourish, and be held.
Whether you come to rest or to move, to make or to reflect, this experience is yours to shape.
Our journey begins Thursday, for those who can arrive early—a soft landing into the woods. Time to settle, meet, and ease into the rhythm of the land and each other, brotherly moments by the fire with music and a good drink, and the easy relaxation of getting to enjoy all day Friday.
Friday unfolds through community offerings—workshops, shared meals, creative play—building into the night: a soul-strengthening discotheque. Think warmth, glow, connection, movement led by joy—Young Hearts in full expression.
Saturday deepens. The forest holds us a little closer as we move through rituals, rest, and reflection. Wake up with yoga, enjoy the beautiful day…. when night falls, we descend together into something darker, wilder:
A transgalactic cosmic rave. —Dark, Techno Hearts emerging under the trees.
Sunday morning begins with a free breakfast cooked up by your hosts Simon and Kevin and eases into a gentle return. Coffee, goodbyes, soft hugs, and the quiet knowing that something meaningful was shared here.
With a small circle of under 200 people, Young Hearts Campout is not a festival, but a living, breathing community—built on intention, openness, and the possibility of something new.
When?
We’re gathering this Pride Month, from June 11–14, with a limited option to arrive a day early if you want to settle in and soak it all up a little longer.
Where?
We’re so excited to host this year’s campout at Shelterwood Collective—a 900-acre community forest and retreat center led by Queer and Trans, Disabled, and BIPOC stewards.
Shelterwood is located on unceeded Kashia territory, above the Russian River in Northern California. They provide our power and other services, including cabins, bathrooms, showers, lodges, a sauna and a hot tub. Mmm hmmm.
What to expect:
A community-centered experience with art, music (Djs), nourishing meals, wellness offerings (Yoga, Hikes, Workshops) , Drag Shows, etc. You’ll be able to choose your stay—cabins, glamping tents, or bringing your own camping setup. A bar is provided for your cocktail and beer needs, please support the camp by not bringing your own alcohol.
What not to expect:
While we celebrate sexuality and self-expression and freedom in the woods, this is not a tailored sex party. And with an intimate capacity of 200 people, it’s also not a large-scale music festival—think more connection, less crowd.
Food / Drink
A meal plan option is available as well you can buy a-la carte each meal for around $30, provided by Brenden Darby and Adam Ross, aka Hole Foods. Our meals will all be homemade, locally sourced, nutritious and balanced for your money’s worth. A bar is provided for cocktails and beer, please do not bring your own alcohol (beyond small emergency supply) to help support the camp.
