This month, participants will learn how to use safety wire. It is a critical aviation technique used to secure nuts, bolts, and fasteners so they don’t loosen from vibration. It’s one of the most important safety practices every aircraft builder and mechanic must master.Students will get guided, hands-on experience using real aviation tools while learning how these skills apply in the real world.

Students must complete tool safety training and pass a 100% safety assessment before participating in future hands-on build activities.

Youth can join our local EAA chapter online or on the day of the workshop. Our yearly membership is $35 and it unlocks access to workshops, mentorship, events, and scholarship opportunities.
