About this Event

Booking for any session allows you to attend any Young Creatives Social. You do not need to book a ticket for every session.

Swing by on Thursday evenings to develop your portfolio, build a creative community and explore professional pathways in a fun and relaxed environment. These free sessions, designed to kick-start your career or further studies in the arts. Aged 16-18yrs.
Here's an overview of our upcoming events:

  • 9 April: Informal Q&A
Drop into the Studio, meet the team and find out what Young Creatives Socials are all about. Ask questions, explore the gallery and get a first glimpse of what’s coming up this spring.
  • 16 April: Foraging Connections
Explore Foraging Connections, then head to the Studio to make your own artworks using moss, clay and natural pigments. Expect living sculptures, earthy colours and a little bit of woodland magic.
  • 23 April: Meet the Team
Ever wondered who makes exhibitions, events and campaigns happen? Meet staff from across Modern Art Oxford, hear about their routes into the arts and ask them anything.
  • 30 April: Lighting Design
Take a sneak peek at our upcoming exhibitions and create collaborative artworks inspired by artist Kira Freije. Experiment with digital drawing, animation and projection to turn the Studio into an immersive light installation.
  • 7 May: Open Studio
Return to your light installation from last week or bring along your own project to work on. A relaxed, creative session with space to make, experiment and share ideas.
