The Young Carers Boxing Empowerment programme at the Glyndon Community Centre in Plumstead is sponsored by Charlton Athletic Community Trust and delivered by Champions 4 Change Wellbeing C.I.C.
Weekly Session time
Mondays 6 pm - 7 pm
The programme which is sponsored for 3 years commencing in April 2023, aims to provide a safe and empowering environment for young carers to achieve physical and emotional wellbeing, develop supportive relationships with other young carers whilst the learning the art of boxing.
Champions 4 Change is part of the Young Greenwich Partnership (YGP) which is an integrated programme commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and led by NHS Oxleas Foundation Trust (Oxleas) and delivered in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT).
Our long term goal is to develop a sustainable template for empowering Young Carers and eventually to create a Young Carers Support Hub in the Royal Borough of Greenwich which will include boxing empowerment, counselling, telephone support and digital skills training for jobs.
