Young BKLYN: Art in Motion – Youth Acrylic Pour Painting Workshop
Join us for Young BKLYN: Art in Motion, a vibrant and inspiring acrylic pour painting workshop series designed for young artists to unleash their creativity! This hands-on workshop introduces students to the exciting world of fluid art, where color, movement, and imagination come together to create stunning, one-of-a-kind artworks.
Led by professional artist and educator Danielle Chery, participants will learn acrylic pour techniques such as color mixing, pouring, tilting, and layering to create beautiful marbled patterns and abstract compositions. This technique is approachable for all skill levels and allows each student to express themselves freely.
Each participant will register for one workshop only. Attending a single session will provide students the opportunity to:
🎨 Complete two original artworks: one to take home and one to be featured in the Young BKLYN: Art in Motion exhibition.
🎨 Have their work professionally exhibited at both C.A.N.V.A.S Gallery at CityPoint BKLYN and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum during the exhibition period.
You do not need to attend all four workshops , participation in just one will ensure your child’s work is part of the exhibition!

- Thursday, May 8 | Brooklyn Children's Museum | 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday, May 17 | C.A.N.V.A.S Gallery, CityPoint BKLYN | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Thursday, May 29 | Brooklyn Children's Museum | 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
This workshop is open to young artists ages 7–14. All materials will be provided, and light refreshments will be available to keep our creators energized and inspired. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and enjoy the creative atmosphere.
