About this Event
Every photographer hides thousands of shots—blurred, crooked, or just not “good enough.” "You can’t judge me, I already have" drags those rejects into the light alongside two decades of Reno stories, portraits, and experiments. Photographer and journalist Mike Higdon pairs his best work with the flawed frames he once buried, exposing the messy collision of deadlines, self-doubt, and perfectionism. It’s funny, uncomfortable, and honest about what it means to make art when your harshest critic is yourself.
Alongside the curated prints, visitors will find a “Judging Tables” of discarded, imperfect images. You’re invited to rescue your favorites, pin them to the wall, and even argue with his commentary—his in black ink, yours in red. Because every “mistake” deserves a second opinion.
On view all October at The Potentialist Workshop, with an mid-month reception October 18 starting at 3 p.m.
