Are you considering adding goats to your farm? Or do you already have goats but want to learn more about how to care for them, show them, milk them or breed them? We have 2 workshops including a farm tour meeting our 75+ mini goats planned for July at Briar Rose Farm, Hindmarsh Valley SA 5211. Hosted by Megan Miller who has been breeding Miniature Goats including dairy goats for over 14 years. Questions encouraged & lets get hands on and have some fun whilst we learn.
Goat husbandry discussions and demos may include but are not limited to; vaccinations, dis budding, foot trimming, show clipping, drenching, feeding, fencing & suitable shelters. What to have in your emergency kits, how to identify sick animals, vet recommendations, castrating & milking.
Our dear friend Jocelyn Fry who has been breeding dairy goats for over 50 years will also be doing a soap making demo at our first event on Saturday the 04.07.26 and then a cheese making demo at our second event on Saturday the 25.07.26.
$75 pp including a light lunch from 11am through till 3pm.
