About this Event
Behind a modest Kensington façade lies a world of colour, craftsmanship and architectural ambition.
At the heart of the house is the famed Arab Hall, inspired by Islamic architecture and adorned with tiles from Syria, Turkey and Persia. Modelled after a 12th-century palace in Palermo, it remains one of the most extraordinary interiors in Britain – part homage, part imaginative creation.
Beyond the hall, Leighton’s vast, light-filled studio reveals the working life of a painter at the height of his career, while the surrounding rooms reflect a quieter, more personal side of a man who shaped his home as carefully as his art.
Join us for an intimate guided visit and experience the rare beauty of a house where creativity, history and design come together in a truly singular way.
