Do you fancy tackling the infamous Yorkshire 3 Peaks in a supportive group setting? Abigail's Trails team will be leading on two Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in 2026.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the 3 peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694m (2,277 ft)), Whernside (736m (2,410 ft)) and Ingleborough (723m (2,372ft)), over a 25 mile route, usually in this order. Most people aim to complete it in under 12 hours.
On Abigail's Trails Yorkshire Three Peaks we start at The Station Inn, at Ribblehead and make our way up and over Whernside (the biggest one) first, before heading round to Ingleborough and on to Pen y Ghent.
With a maximum of 24 participants we can keep groups small, supportive and intimate. You will have a few options on speed of completing the challenge. We all know that everyone has differing levels of fitness / ability, so we split our groups accordingly. Maybe you want to complete it in 10 hours or perhaps you feel you may need slightly over 12 hours to complete the challenge, we will support you in achieving that!
This is a tough route with spectacular scenery. The paths are extremely well trod and despite it being dubbed "a marathon with mountains", a lot of the walking is on easy terrain; its just the climbs that are beasts! A good level of fitness and appropriate clothing / footwear is required (a training plan and kit list will be sent to you on booking).
We will have a support vehicle available as back up and 2 water / brew / snack stops will also be provided enroute.
This is a fully guided and supported event. The price of £60 per person also includes a Certificate of Completion, snacks and hot drinks half way round, and a donation to the Three Peaks Project for sustainable path maintenance. You will also receive a training plan, advice on kit and list of suitable accommodation, on booking.
Participants must make own way to Ribblehead and arrange their own accommodation, if required. Please drive and park considerately in the Yorkshire Dales and be respectful of its residents.
Please ensure you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions and GDPR Privacy Notice prior to booking.
