We are gathering a group of volunteers from around York County to review and update information in the files of the York County History Center that they have on the mills of York County created by Grant Voaden from 1940 to 1970. This will be a temporary volunteer opportunity. Our introduction meeting on February 15th showed that there was a good amount of interest. New comers are welcome to attend.
At the last meeting you were introduced to the York County Mill Consortium and our purpose in updating the Grant Voaden list of mills in York County. You were provided with numerous forms and resources that can be used to research the mills. The purpose of this meeting is to briefly go over the forms and resources to help you understand how to use them and ask questions. We will also look at forming teams and introducing you to potential team members for your area.
