Big Foot, the Abominable Snowman, the Yeti are monsters known all over the world, but for many years there have been stories of giant hominid cryptid living wild in New Zealand Forests. The most infamous is the Moehau Men who have inhabited the Coromandel Ranges since the 1870s.

About the speaker:
Scott Bainbridge is one of New Zealand’s foremost true crime authors. His books Without Trace and Still Missing inspired the acclaimed TVNZ series the Missing. Bainbridge has a love of New Zealand history and has written books and been involved in TV series on historical crimes. His book the Bassett Road Machine Gun Murders was released on the 50th anniversary of the gangland murders and The Great New Zealand Robbery about the Waterfront Payroll Robbery of 1956 was a finalist in the 2019 Dame Ngaio Marsh Awards. His eighth book, The Fix will be released in October 2022.
