This inspired meditation practice will awaken your whole being, allowing you to enjoy life fully. There is nothing required of you but to lie down and listen.
Yoga Nidra is for anyone with a desire for greater inner peace and connection with one’s self. In this 1.5 hour session, you'll be guided through 30 minutes of gentle movement followed by a calming Yoga Nidra session. You will rest in stillness, lying down in savasana relaxation pose or in a seated position, while being guided. Here, you will connect with your innate ability to heal and restore to your natural state of well-being. This practice can help aid in the symptomatic relief of insomnia, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, pain, and many other issues. Pam Velez, is certified to lead Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra.
Practicing Yoga Nidra May Improve How You Respond to Stress By:
· Slowing heart rate
· Lowering blood pressure
· Slowing breathing rate
· Reducing the need for oxygen
· Increasing blood flow to major muscles
· Reducing muscle tension
About Your Teacher:
Pam Velez has been teaching yoga for the past 9 years. She began taking yoga classes at a gym with the intention of getting a good workout. What began as part of an exercise routine has become so much more. Pam credits yoga for helping her to become a better person: more patient, compassionate and less judgmental. She has over 700 hours of yoga training and earned her E-RYT 500. Pam loves to laugh and brings this element of lightheartedness to each class. Her classes incorporate alignment, flow, humor and a bit of yoga philosophy. Pam received her Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® certification at the Lotus Pond with Jennifer Reis.
