Sometimes the wisest thing you can do is rest.
The first half of the practice is a 35 minute guided meditation. This practice is usually done lying down, although if you prefer to remain seated, that is fine. Comfort is most important!
Yoga Nidra Meditation targets Alpha Brain Waves, allowing the body to relax from the inside-out. This meditation promotes healthy sleep, relaxation, subsides physical tension / chronic pain, balances body + mind, and promotes kind + peaceful living.
The meditation brings attention to body awareness, body sensations, breath, and ends with guided visualizations.
One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to four hours of restful sleep.
Following the meditation will be a sound healing bath with many instruments including, Crystal Singing Bowls, chimes, drums, rainstick, and more!
Sound healing deeply relaxes the body + mind, promotes balance and harmony within, + helps to release any stuck energy that is no longer serving us well. Leave feeling calm, well-rested, and refreshed.
Please bring a yoga mat and whatever allows you to be comfortable (pillows, blankets, etc.) as you will be lying down for the practice.

About the Instructor:
Jaime is a Registered Yoga Instructor and is also Certified in Yoga Nidra Meditation, Sound Healing, Restorative Yoga, and Reiki. She has been teaching for 6 years and offers weekly yoga classes at numerous studios through Rhode Island and Connecticut. She also hosts Yoga Nidra Meditation + Sound Events monthly throughout numerous studios as well!
