In this session, Kellie will guide you through a powerful and supportive yoga nidra practice with a meditation to help move stored, stagnant energy to lighten the heart, and make room for softness, curiosity, and better energetic balance. Often referred to as “yogic sleep”, yoga nidra helps the body settle into a more relaxed state. In this conscious sleep state, we find “peace beyond words”. Through this guided meditation, we may experience greater connections within our mind, body, and spirit. This gentler practice may help us to connect with the world around us as well.
We will start with a light stretch to prepare the body and mind for rest, then settle in for a 45 minute guided practice and journey into deep, radiant rest to allow us to access our true nature and explore our inner wisdom.
Yoga Nidra offers many benefits beyond what you may see as simply an extra long savasana. This practices helps us release physical, emotional, and spiritual build-up and allows our central nervous system to take a break. And when we can truly release and surrender our guard, we can experience healing, improve focus, clarity, and emotional balance.
Absolutely no experience is necessary and all are welcome!
You may want to bring a blanket, pillow, our any props you feel would help you settle in for your deep rest.
It is encouraged to dress in layers and bring a journal. At the end of the session, we will take time to allow for quiet integration. You may want to ground, reflect, or journal in quiet stillness.
