About this Event
The purpose of this delightful class, aimed at 4th-8th graders (but can be used in all classrooms), is to use yoga and laughter in the classroom. And yes, presenter Pat Braun says she gives middle schoolers an out, "If you don't think you can handle it, then you can sit out." What middle schooler won't take that challenge?
No mats are needed as this event is presented as if you were in the classroom. Pat will share a power point of suggestions, protocol, and research about the use of laughter and yoga as de-stressors. Did you know it doesn't matter if laughter is spontaneous or forced?
All the yoga stances can be connected to literature and Pat shares humorous books during her presentation, which will be shared. Join us for an enjoyable evening of camaraderie, snacks, and laughter on Jan. 9th, 2025 from 5:30-7:00 at the Persinger Recreational Center, 3507 Kaneville Rd. Geneva, IL 60134 (Room 203).
