About this Event
This workshop is best suited to those with an existing movement practice (yoga, calisthenics, or pilates) and a base level of strength to support being on the hands.
You don’t need to be able to handstand yet—just ready to explore and put in some practice.
While the main focus will be on handstands, we’ll also explore a range of other arm balances—including crow, side crow, eight-limbed arm balance, flying pigeon, pincha, and headstand.
Sounds like a lot… and it is!
but don’t worry—everything is optional, and you’ll always be offered variations and support so you can work at a level that feels right for you.
What to expect:
- Gentle, effective warm-ups (no exhaustion required)
- Beginner-friendly drills to build confidence step by step
- Ways to get comfortable being upside down—at your own pace
- Playful mobility work inspired by animal movement
- Plenty of options and guidance throughout
- A lovely shavasana, cup of tea and a vegan chocolate brownie (YUMMY)
All of this is wrapped in a big dose of yoga attitude:
No competition, no pressure, just curiosity, kindness to your body, and enjoying the process—whether that’s your first kick-up or simply getting your hands on the ground.
Come as you are, bring a sense of humour, and get ready to explore what your body can do.
