Grief is a complicated process which affects each of us in a different way. While most people are familiar with the emotional aspects, but grief can cause physical issues as well. Breathwork, meditation and movement are all helpful tools to assist you in moving through the grief process. Workshop will include a Yoga Nidra meditation, a form of yoga which is helpful for stress reduction, anxiety and can also help improve sleep.
Participants should bring a yoga mat and dress comfortably and warmly, socks, sweatshirt and perhaps a pillow. They may bring a picture or memento of their loved one or that symbolizes their grief if desired.
About Beth: Following the death of my husband in 2008, I found yoga to be instrumental in helping process the emotional and physical symptoms of grief. This led me to complete my 200 hour yoga teacher training in power yoga and seek additional training in Yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, Kids yoga, Trauma informed Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound healing and Yoga for grief. My 35 plus year career as a physical therapist has led me to a specific interest in providing safe yoga practices for all bodies.
In addition to yoga certificatioins I am a certified aromatherapist and have completed level 1 and 2 Reiki training.
Proceeds from this class will benefit Soaring Spirits International, an organization near and dear to Beth's heart. Because this is a donation based class, no refunds or credits will be given.

They are positive, and forward thinking, while focusing on offering members the tools and resources they need to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the death of a spouse or life partner.
