About this Event

Yoga, Art and Indian Cuisine Retreat Day
(Please bring your own yoga mat and 2 blankets)
On this special day we will combine the therapeutic benefit of mindfulness art with the power of a yoga practice in the magical atmosphere of the Firepit, a unique art gallery located a few steps from the river Thames.

We will start the day with an accessible vinyasa yoga class, followed by a delicious, convivial Indian lunch. In the afternoon during the mindfulness art class, we will paint a colourful mandala on a mug for you to take home.

After the art session will follow a tea break.

It will then be the perfect time of the day to light the firepit and have a very relaxing yoga Nidra class.

About the yoga classes and art workshop:

Vinyasa is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.

Mandala painting workshop:

Painting a mandala is a relaxing and meditative practice that helps to stay in the present moment. The technique does not require specific skills, it is easy to learn and accessible to everyone. You will learn how to paint a mandala on a mug to take home with you. We will start initially to practice the technique on paper and when you feel ready, we will move onto painting the mug. All the material for the workshop is provided.

Yoga Nidra: is a form of guided meditation, the practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium.
