Yoga & the Science of Mental Well-Being
Join this in-person class with Dr. Erman Misirlisoy to explore how yoga transforms physical and mental well-being.
Erman is a certified yoga instructor with a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. He blends traditional yoga practices with principles from psychology and neuroscience to create an experience that helps people better understand their bodies, minds, and the connection between them.
This 1-hour class will start with a brief introduction to the science of how your brain creates your perception of the world and how we can develop better mindfulness. We'll then put those ideas to practice by enjoying a 45-min yoga session focused on building strength, enhancing flexibility, and managing mental well-being.
Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned yogi, you are very welcome at this event. Physical modifications will be highlighted throughout the practice to support all levels of experience. The session is all about finding equanimity by exploring physical movement, flow, breathing, and focus.
