• Grounding meditation techniques suitable for students with trauma
• How to create a secure, supportive space for your students
• Deepening sensitivity to student needs through self-care practices
• Yoga Nidra techniques for personal self-care and expanding your teaching toolkit
This training also emphasizes doing your own inner work so you can show up fully for those you serve.
About the Instructor: Annie Okerlin, C-IAYT
Annie Okerlin has been a yoga teacher since 1999. Her work with wounded veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center beginning in 2006 shaped her expertise in adaptive and trauma-informed yoga, working with amputees, burn victims, those with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and more. She is the founder of Yogani Studio in Tampa and The Exalted Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit supporting veterans through yoga and meditation. Annie teaches nationally and internationally and is recognized as one of the country's leading experts in Adaptive Yoga.
