About this Event

Introduction:

• Warm Welcome & Introduction: Awarm welcome to the participants, introducing the workshop’s aims and the intertwining of yoga with creative mindfulness to foster inner peace, joy and creativity.

• Brief Overview of Yoga: Touch upon the origins and benefits of yoga, highlighting how it can be a catalyst for creative energy and personal growth.


Yoga Practice:

• Gentle Warm-Up: Beginning with a series of gentle stretches and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind for the session, emphasising breath synchronisation with movement.

• Main Yoga Session: A carefully curated sequence of yoga poses (asanas) suitable for all levels, focusing on those that stimulate creativity and relaxation, such as forward bends, heart openers, and gentle twists.

• Breathing Exercises (Pranayama): Integrating simple breathing techniques to help participants centre themselves and enhance focus and mental clarity.


Creative Mindfulness Activity:

• Transition & Setup: Hand out of materials for the creative activity (this could be art supplies, writing materials, or any other medium relevant to the workshop’s theme).

• Guided Creativity Exercise: A mindfulness-based creative exercise, such as mindful drawing, journaling with prompts inspired by the yoga practice, or crafting a vision board. The activity will encourage participants to reflect on their experience and express themselves creatively.

• Mindful Observation: Participants engage in mindful observation of their creations, reflecting on the emotions, thoughts, and sensations that arise during the process.


Integration & Sharing:

• Group Sharing: Optionally share creations or reflections with the group, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

• Reflective Discussion: A discussion on how the combination of yoga and creative expression can be utilised as a tool for self-care and personal growth.

• Gratitude Meditation: Concluding the workshop with a short gratitude meditation, guiding participants to reflect on something they are grateful for, fostering a sense of contentment and positivity.

• Farewell: Thanking participants for their presence and participation, encouraging them to continue exploring the practices introduced in the workshop in their daily lives.
