Learning how to listen and understand what's happening in your body throughout your yoga practice, and providing it with what it NEEDS, is an essential part of your yoga practice. In this 6 week series with Tosh, you will learn how to decode those messages and then adapt your practice to support your body and mind with the use of breath, alignment, pose variations, and props. These tools will allow you to honour what your body needs on any given day.
WEEK 1 - Breath & Drishti: Learn how to use Ujjayi Breath and Drishti (focused gaze) as a way to anchor you in your body and the sensations you're experiencing in your practice.
WEEK 2/3 - Alignment: Learn how to properly align your body and stack your joints to protect your body from strain and injury.
WEEK 4 - Muscle Engagement: Learn where to hug in to build strength and enhance body awareness.
WEEK 5/6 - Variations & Props: Learn how to adapt each pose to YOUR body through different variations and the use of props.
