About this Event
Our Ukulele Crash Courses give you the skills & confidence to make joyful music as part of a friendly & welcoming collective. You don't need any musical experience or talent - you'll be welcomed with open arms and will amaze yourself by playing songs you love within an hour of picking up a 'uke' for the very first time!
Bring an instrument or borrow one of ours. It's fun, friendly & joyous - the people who have done our music sessions felt 95% better afterwards - so let's get together and feel good!
The ukulele crash courses start just after 6pm and run for 60-90 minutes...after that if people want to then we can carry on making music - beginners can try new songs/chords, and those with experience can show us their skills, we might even come up with new songs/lyrics...who knows - the evening will flow whichever way the people there want it to...everybody welcome!
IF YOU'VE BEEN TO ONE OF OUR UKULELE CRASH COURSES BEFORE & YOU'RE BRINGING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY/BOOK - JUST BRING YOURSELF!
Tempest is on Tithebarn Street (opposite Bixteth Street, Liverpool), our ukulele crash courses usually take place in the ground floor lobby - to the left of the the bar/cafe, 'Tempest on Tithebarn'...but for our quarterly BIG-SING-A-LONG PARTIES (March, June, September & December) we'll be downstairs from the bar in the 'KolBox' event space, or up on the stunning roof garden if the weather is good!
YinYan’s mission is to open doors that give people the tools & confidence to improve their mental & physical wellbeing as part of our friendly & welcoming community. We provide classes in Yoga, Pilates, Art, Music & more - we are a non-profit Community Interest Company and any money we make has to be used to help people feel good - we keep our costs as low as possible because we're not all-about-profit...we're all-about-helping-people-feel-good!!
