Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 10:30 to 12:30 for a special introductory Yin Yoga Workshop with Jayne Wilbur. Jayne is a Certified Yoga Instructor who has completed 550 hours of yoga teacher training, including 330 hours of advanced Yoga study and 220 hours of Yoga foundations. She has also completed 100 hours of practical and theoretical training in Yin Yoga. She resides in Hampton, N.B., where she teaches Hatha, Yin and Chair Yoga. She seeks always to balance body, mind and spirit and to help others do the same.Yin Yoga is a complement to all forms of Yang exercise. It targets the connective tissue which is everywhere in the body (in our skin, bones, joints, organs, tissues and cells). To maintain our joint flexibilities as we age we must exercise them in a Yin way. During this two-hour workshop, for which no prior yoga experience is necessary, you will learn some basic anatomy, the difference between Yin and Yang exercises, and both the vast benefits of and how to practice Yin Yoga. The practice of Yin will help you to attain and maintain maximum range of motion for the maximum length of time.
Jayne will be teaching an evening Yoga class on our regular schedule beginning in February.
