Yin Yoga is the practice of “being” over “doing”. This slow and grounding practice focuses on connective tissues of the body - fascia, ligaments, and joints. Through long, passive holds of 3 to 5 minutes, we will create the space necessary to release chronic tension and restore natural mobility.This practice asks you to meet your "edge" or the sweet spot between effort and ease and stay there in stillness. At the edge you will learn to witness your thoughts without judgment and surrender to now. This gives the yin practice qualities of both patience and resilience.
Each week, expect to explore different physical targets and themes rooted in real life experiences as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We use props like bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to ensure the practice meets you where you are for a supported and intuitive experience.
