About this Event
Join us for a Sunday afternoon of Yin Yoga & Meditation with CYAN - a slower, more restorative practice designed to help you unwind, reset, and ease into the week ahead. In contrast to more active styles, yin invites you to slow right down, holding postures for longer periods to gently open the joints, tendons, fascia, and ligaments. It’s a grounding, feel-good way to release tension and find a bit of stillness.
This session is beginner-friendly and open to drop-ins. Perfect for young adults in the Bow Valley - whether you’re balancing busy days, active lifestyles, or just looking for a quieter way to move your body. No yoga experience needed.
What to expect:
- A guided Yin Yoga and meditation session led by a Flow State instructor
- Long-held, supported postures to encourage deep stretch and release
- A slow, intentional pace that allows the body to safely open over time
- Focus on breath and stillness to support relaxation and nervous system reset
- Guided meditation practice
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothing
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat (optional)
About the host / facilitator
This sound bath is facilitated by a practitioner from Flow State, a Banff-based wellness studio focused on movement, mindfulness, and nervous system care.
Accessibility notes
There is an all-gender washroom and changeroom in the studio. The studio is wheelchair and walker accessible (via an elevator in the Bison Courtyard).

Community & Inclusion
You are always welcome to attend CYAN events on your own - many people do! Our event staff are there to support you, and we often use light icebreakers to help everyone feel comfortable and included.
While CYAN’s programming is designed with young adults in mind, everyone is welcome to attend our events, except events involving alcohol, which are 18+ only.
