A Seasonal Discovery Series with the Five Elements
This offering is the first in a five-part Yin + Nidra discovery series that follows the natural cycle of the seasons through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s (TCM) Five Elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — which correspond with Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Fall, and Winter.
In this first gathering, we welcome the Lunar New Year and the energy of the Fire Horse by exploring the Spring Wood element — the energy of roots pushing into soil, shoots reaching for light, and new visions quietly forming. Through long-held Yin poses and gentle Gua Sha along the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, we create space for stagnation to soften, for emotions to move, and for what is ready to grow to emerge. The practice will close with a deeply restorative, healing Yoga Nidra to integrate the experience and support nervous system regulation.
Participants will receive a free Gua Sha tool with registration, and we will share medicinal and celebratory dessert snacks together in honor of Lunar New Year!
This is a practice of listening — to the body, the breath, and the season — and remembering that renewal does not need to be forced. It unfolds when we slow down enough to let it.
This is an accessible, welcoming practice — no prior experience needed. Bring your friends, your breath, and your curiosity.
The practice will include:
Slow, grounding Yin poses focused on the Wood meridian pathways
Gentle Gua Sha along the meridian lines to support circulation and energetic release
A deeply restorative, healing Yoga Nidra to integrate the practice and support nervous system regulation
A free Gua Sha tool with registration
Medicinal and celebratory dessert soup
