The future of energy is set to look very different from today, with new fuels expected to play a critical role in decarbonising sectors that are difficult to electrify. As the energy transition accelerates, attention is shifting toward a range of emerging fuel options, including hydrogen, sustainable biofuels, synthetic fuels (e-fuels), and other low-carbon alternatives.
