This Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, join us for a special JPride screening of Yentl, a powerful and tender exploration of identity, tradition, love, and self-determination, at 2pm at the Tucson J.Starring and directed by Barbra Streisand, this beloved film follows a young Jewish woman who defies convention by disguising herself as a man in order to pursue sacred learning, raising timeless questions about gender, access, and belonging.
Following the screening, we’ll hold a guided conversation exploring themes of the film through a Jewish lens. Whether you’ve seen Yentl many times or are experiencing it for the first time, we invite you to gather, reflect, and celebrate the beautiful complexity of identity within Jewish story and community.
