On Monday 11th November our Sunnyhills Year 3-6 Athletics Day will be held at Pakuranga Athletic Track – Lloyd Elsmore Park. This day helps us in the selection of the Interschool Athletics team. It is also a fun day that allows all children to be involved in a variety of athletic events. The events include 70m and 100m sprints, shot put, long jump and high jump for all year groups. Year 3 will be involved in all events however the sprints are their only competitive events. Year 3 students do not participate at the HPPA Interschool Athletics.All students will head to the Pakuranga Athletic Track at 9 am via organised buses. The cost of the bus to and from the athletics track is $5 which will be put on your Kindo account.
The day will run from 9:45am - 2:30pm and a timetable of the day will be sent out closer to the time. All parents are welcome to join us for the day and cheer the children on. All children will need to bring the following to school on the day:
● Morning tea
● Lunch
● Sunnyhills School Hat
● Sunscreen
● Water bottle
All children are to wear Sunnyhills P.E gear and sneakers to school. No watches or jewellery should be worn on athletics day. More information about timings of events will be sent home closer to the time.
