Instructor Winnie Jau has specially roll out these 2 authentic and favourite dishes, Abacus beads/(Chinese:算盘子) , a famous Hakka Chinese dish which were eaten during festival in Chinese New Year to signify wealth and prosperity.
Ngoh Hiang Roll, (五香卷)is an uniquely Hokkien and Teochew dish.
The word Ngoh Hiang derives from the word 五香 which means five-spice powder, a spice that gives a unique twist to this dish and enhance its flavor. Compulsory
dishes for these 2 dialect groups in special occasions.
