Info: To infuse society with radical hope, volunteers will tend trees at Gwendolyn Brooks Park and The Oracle of Bronzeville monument to the first black, woman, and writer in Chicago Park. Each participant is invited to write a poem during the Poetry Workshop led by acclaimed poet, Kira Tucker, and Poet Laureate of Highland Park, Laura Joyce Hubbard. After tree care, poems will be written at Little Black Pearl’s Carver 47 Café’ to perpetuate the teachings of Gwendolyn Brooks.
